Faithful Followers of Jesus Christ

Youth Group

The youth ministry at Harmony is excited about the coming school year and invites all students Grades 6-12 to come to one of the meetings. There are weekly meetings planned throughout the year that will encourage worship and growth while developing a fellowship with fellow students.

Why Ethics and Morality Is Important

It should be no surprise to you as a parent that your children are bombarded with temptations of all kinds every day. Their friends may be applying pressure to participate in risky, illegal, or immoral behavior, and the need to “fit in” may be overpowering. Even if teenagers avoid social situations that could entrap them, they will find numerous enticements on the Internet, on their phones, or on television. The best defense for your child is to understand what God’s Word has to say about the consequences of such behavior and about the power God provides to resist.

Key Points from Their Bible Study Feb/Mar 11

• It is not wise to drink alcohol because of its destructive and habit-forming nature (Prov. 20:1; 23:29-35).

Life Question: How do I help someone who is using alcohol and other drugs?

• Healthy food eaten in moderation benefits you and honors God (Dan. 1:8-16; Prov. 23:19-21; 1 Cor. 10:31).

Life Question: Does it really matter what or how I eat?

• Lust is a sin that can be overcome by focusing on the things of Christ (Ps. 101:1-4; Matt. 5:27-30; 1 Pet. 2:11-12).

Life Question: How do I help someone who is into pornography?

• Homosexuality is a sin, but God offers forgiveness, grace, and the power to live right (Rom. 1:18-28;

1 Cor. 6:9-11; 10:13; Eph. 4:17-24).

Life Question: How do I help someone who is struggling with homosexuality?

   Meetings are Sundays at 2:30-430 p.m.
